This. No one can blame Spencer/MS for the lack of JRPGs on XB1. They made an admirable and expensive effort with the 360 and it didn't change anything.

This is mainly Microsoft's own fault and their problem with japanese games on the Xbox One. They really need to improve how they market the system over there and work towards furthering japanese game development on it. They already got big ones like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy but I don't think those will be enough.

Ha. Ok. I'll try again. Funding/buying those (timed) exclusive JRPGs for the 360 was admirably but the money spend wasn't recouped.
With XB1 having smaller market share than 360 (especially in Japan) I can see why they hesitate even trying with XB1.
You can't really blame them.

Not bad considering how great 360 was. Superior to PS3 in every way but its game library imo.
