I don't think it should come as a surprise to anyone that the X1 will lack JRPGs compared to what Sony or even Nintendo will offer. The OG Xbox didn't have very many nor did the 360 (but it did get a little bit of JRPG love) and I wouldn't expect the X1 to be any different. That's just not Microsoft's specialty genre, if you're REALLY into JRPGs the X1 is probably not the system you want. That's like someone really into FPSs buying a Nintendo system, it may get one here and there, but you're not going to see a lot compared to its competitors in the long run.

I will keep wondering this, if you're into JRPGs or japanese games in general, how do you only own an X1 or not own a PS system for those japanese games?

This gen especially it looks like Xbox is really going to be left in the cold when it comes to japanese games.

Seriously, it baffles me. If you're a fan of Japanese games why don't you own a PS4 then? Also haven't they noticed how they are doing in Japan? Kagari from NeoGAF said Xbox fans of Japanese games will be even more mad at Phil Spencer at E3 and the Level 5 game is definitely a PS4 exclusive. They should start saving up money for a PS4 if they really want Japanese games.

You want JRPGs on Xbox One? Sell it and get a PS4 instead, then.

This, even if a couple of JRPG's come to Xbox they'll pale in comparison to the amount that are/will be on PS4. So if JRPG's are your bread and butter, I'm afraid you picked the wrong console for that and suggest you go out and buy a PS4 right now.

This.  Why do people expect niche games to come to a console that's roots are anything but.  The Xbox 360 was the shmup console of last gen, but most JRPG games were released exclusively on the PS3 aside from the few Xbox had in the first few years.

Well, Final Fantasy XV will launch on the XboxOne. That's still a JRPG, right?

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

It kind of does sound like a dick response, Like "you will like what we give you."

It does xD  But im sure thats not how it was meant.  Phil seems very careful with his wording in ways it wont effect the image of him or Xbox

Im pretty sure thats true. He does seem like he responds to twitter a lot and is always in the publics eyes, no suprise that he would  a little blunder from time to time.

Only reason it might look like that is because we know the xbox does not get many jrpgs, or even wrpgs, or any japaneesee games at all.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Wouldn't someone who wants jrpgs get jrpgs instead of a platform that doesn't have them and hope it gets them?

What if, Chrono Break for Xbone?

I've kinda had enough of "we're listening", time to put that into action. Show the goods at E3 or TGS.

360 received many jrpgs, XBO only got type 0 with ff15/Kh3 announced.

It's not even comparable.

If you got an Xbox One for JRPGs, you got the wrong system.
