Remember: The baseline for WiiU sales in UK is really, really, really low.

So if only 1,000 more WiiUs are sold in the entire UK the week of Splatoon launch, that's probably a significant % increase. That establishes a metric that can easily spun into saying that Splatoon is a 'system seller'.

And honestly, if MK8 and SSBU aren't selling the system, what else will?

i voted for not really, and im a huge nintendo fan . I really hope its a system seller, but i dont think its gonna be a big system seller

Hope it surprises everyone and pushes lots of WiiUs. But I'm sure it'll sell well at least among the console owners (1m+ for sure).

Of course pretty much every game ever can be considered a system seller in the literal sense, hence most will assume you mean it'll sell a significant amount as there's no point giving a game that title otherwise.
