I'm honestly not hurt just because I find indifference to your opinoion btw, I just find when someone flaunts an argument like that it makes me wonder what stance/side they are on and you've more or less told me now so the surprise is gone, I honestly don't se it as my problem, if anthing you are the one making it into a problem by citing PC as garbage that's not worth investing into, you said you prefer consoles so really you don't factor into this since you've chosen your side already, wheras I go PC first and consoles later so I'm going with both in essence than simpy, staying to one side and throwing minus points at the other. (Not meaning that as a berating stance, just that you've already chosen and your decision simply doesn't factor into the "inbetween" kind of person that can make such judgement without injecting much bias)

It's not a problem if you thought  you sounded mad or anything, the way I type and talk in voice is completely different that some people on here believe I;m mad or upset when really I'm completely fine and they tend to read my text into pure emotion rather than simply just reading the words and not trying to force fake emotions into them (I tend to say fuck a few times vocally around friends but online people think that's me showing anger when it's really not how I mean that to come off as).

I'm having a hard time seeing where eva01berserk said that and it's weird that you insist on him representing that stance.. feels like a strawman.

I said "PC is garbage and not worth investing into"? Really? I would have remembered something like that. I think I said before, not on this thread, that investing thousands of dollars on a pc on a slight improbement is a waste of money, But not pc in its entirety.

Not to be playing coy but you strongly make it come off as that (you can make it sound like something without actually having to say it directly just an fyi), yeah but by not spending decent money you get a weak PC which in the end supports your general idea of console>PC, really you fall back onto that ideal without you even realising it.

So we are just suposed to hear arguments from people who stand on our sides?

No but it's not exactly good to have a console only person suggesting to someone who wants to actually get into PC gaming or shows signs of liking to have suggestions from a console only or someone who strongly prefers consoles and dislikes PC, that's really a no brainer from there as to how good of advice or not so heavily biased suggestion you're going to get.

I get your point that peoples bias can make them say things that they really dont belive in, but that is usually easily noticeable in their argument. I was a pc gamer, I dont do it anymore because it was not as cheaper as everybody keeps saying it is,

I'm the opposite since I was mostly a console gamer first and PC second, now it's PC first and console second because to me PC is cheaper in the longrun than it is for me and a console, free online play, higher graphiucal settings, modding capabilities, much cheaper games and sales just make it very worthwhile to me with the added certainty of freedom that comes with the platform being open, it's definitely not as cheap when you plonk down for your very own sstem but in the longrun it pays for itself with free online/cheaper games/sales.

The people that throw down the myth of needing £1000+ to build a decent PC is much of a joke as it is a myth though and those kind of people are the type that exist on both sides of the spectrum and only serve to put people off PC gaming, there's no need to listen to them.

I needed a laptop for college and could not have a pc and a laptop so i left pc gaming years ago. DOes that make my stance a little better for you, at least a little less bias?

I dunno, you more or less place your leaving PC gaming entirely on your education, for me when I went to college PC gaming wasn't as big as it is now since that was 2004-8 for me and I was with consoles at the time, nowdays it shouldn't really be that much of a life threatening issue with college, I;ve got some friends over in America that have college dorms and they still managed to build themselves their won rigs for decent prices with their budgets, some even who live at home, this really just comes down to how you made the choice based on how you thought it would pan out at college, instead of trying after that it sounds like you stuck with the laptop and the rest is forever history.

Although I finish college and make good money now and still not planing to go back to pc, so I gess your right, nothing I say regarding pc should be taken into acount.

It's not that it shouldn't completely be, it's just I feel your input from your perma stance means it won't really benefit someone who might want to get into PC gaming, your stance more or elss serves for consoles (which isn't exactly bad but you get the point from earlier), see for myself I do totally sound a lot like a PC only gamer but I'm really not, I'm planning on grabbing a Wii U once I've got enough money saved for a new TV and the system itself, next year I'll hopefully grab an XB1 once the library increases to my liking so I'm not trying to restrict myself to just one system, I'm even gaming on a 3DS practically ever day since I bought it in 2013

Im a nitendo fan and I can be critical when they are making a mistake, like i did on my previous comment. A true fan can notice when something is wrong with what they like and must accept critizisim if at lest it has a good base. Dosent matter if the oposition is a flaming fanboy that will never see reason, they sometimes make good arguments that have to be taken into account, not always by the way.

yeah but that's the thing, I can accept mistakes in some areas of something I like, I like Nintendo as well but dislike the mistakes they make, same with CDPR and Witcher 3, I'm actuallty quite disappointed with how they've gone about the whole game and the PC version but that doesn't make me a "true fan", that's  a lot like the "no true Scotsman fallacy" which some people tend to fall into when talking about being critical/being overly faithfull to something, there is really no such thing as a "True fan", not trying to be agressive or anything but they don't exist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_Scotsman

Now I get more where your coming from. But Im not trying to put down pc gaming. I am a console first guy, but I know pc is also good and would not put it down.

Im not trying to hide my words from anyone, I say what I mean, but I know your right and some people do what you are saying. But again, if we look carefully we can see when they are doing this and easy to weed out their comments.

I dont have a perma stance, I play on my laptop what it can handle, just not willing to investin a gaming focused pc, but my laptop can handle games on mid settings at the highest, so will play mainly on ps4 when I get it and play eclusives on the pc, wich there arent much for my liking at the moment.

Main reason Im a console gamer is that I love zelda and mteroid, secondly is as explained, the price. You say is a good investment and it might be for thouse with money to spend, cuz building a pc that rivals a console has no point. I know it dosent take $1000+ to build one that gets you all the benefits, but it its more than what consoles are worth, for improbements that not most will see unless they spend a lot, for games that are optimize for consoles mainly now days. Not saying is bad and thouse that can should, just saying that the mayority of gamers wont, we have seen this over time, gamers know its better but is better for how much is what counts.

Now you got me overthinking about the true fan thing. I think your right. Just saying if we love what we love, we must accept the negative and acknoledge that there are negatives.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
