I cannot believe my eyes in this thread. "Its okay that its so short, its mainly about the MP like CoD"

As a card carrying Call of Duty fan, who has had to defend people calling CoD a shit game because of how short its campaign is, this 180 is astounding.

EDIT: Also, to everyone saying 'thats still longer than CoD', according to http://howlongtobeat.com/ if you search for each game they average about 6 -8 hours, so no, its not longer than CoD.

And how do you know is the same people? hum?

Is around the lenght of any online shooter this days, is in fact longer than some CoDs like Ghost and... Modern warfare 2 :S

So, the same as almost every shooter, good. I was afraid that it would just be a 2hours-tutorial

I think Xenoblade spoiled me with it's 60 hour story, so this seems really short to me (Don't play much shooters)
But like others, mainly buying for the online

Pretty sure the reason people are more accepting of this is because for months peopel assumed this was a MP game ONLY.  So even 1 hour of single player is a bonus.

Personally not buying this game though.  Not a MP fan.  well not a online MP fan.  I'd gladly play this with friedsn in the same room, or at a party, ect.  

So for me the 5-7 hours is too short for a genre that I"m not too fond of.  I'll wait till Metroid comes out with its single player focus.  Or even like Tomb Raider, though not insnaely long more story at least intensive.  Pretty sure Splatoon will be about as indepth as a Mario game.

Also COD is a slightly different case, in that it has a legacy of good single player campaigns. COD 4 MW in particular had a generation defining SP campaign imo. So for that particular franchise to start focusing less on SP, will obviously cause some kind of outcry. Personally I was a big fan of the COD SP, so I was pretty dissapointed when they started focusing less on it.

Splatoon/Titanfall/Destiny are all new IP's, theres no precedent there for a good SP campaign. They are also pretty open about the fact that the game is primarily a MP game. With splatoon i wasnt really even expecting a SP at all, given the marketing they've done for the game so far. So id say its fair that they dont have some crazy long SP. Also even though its short it might be a really good SP.

And you say that outside of the Nintendo realm. Imagine how I feel when I see some fans making excuses for delays, droughts, DLC and content cut from the games.
