Forums - Sony Discussion - So Why the Big Drop Off for PS4 in America NPD?

PS4 is still doing fine. It's still winning worldwide. Even the winners lose something, sometimes. Xbox seems to only have a hold on America, sales numbers speak for themself. Though i only own a PS4, i'm really glad to see Xbox win a month of NPD.

Was there Battlefield Hardline bundles? Maybe a lingering effect of that+other promotional deals.

Maybe some realise that some PS4 exclusives like Bloodborne is niche and the Order 1886 isn't really a great game? Also like someone else said in this thread some of those months are because of Tax refunds and not because of the exclusives.

Just my theory.

lol... how many price cuts have XB1 along with free game bundles for it to eek out a few victories in the US?

Are they able to pull the same moves this year? No.

Really? That's your post.   get a megaphone and repeat it in every other thread. They also have no games this spring, we will see when Halo 5 hits the shelfs. Xbox One will dominate NA this holiday season and take the lead.

Here we go again, I already explained why it won't dominate like last time. Can't believe people around here, you would think they would learn that third party bundles are some of the biggest system sellers every holiday.

Batman bundle. I'll gladly eat crow if that's not the case.

This.

GAMING is not about spending hours to pass/waste our time just for fun,

its a Feeling/Experience about a VIRTUAL WORLD we can never be in real, and realizing some of our dreams (also creating new ones).

So, Feel Emotions, Experience Adventure/Action, Challenge Game, Solve puzzles and Have fun.

PlayStation is about all-round "New experiences" using new IP's to provide great diversity for everyone.

Xbox is always about Online and Shooting.

Nintendo is always about Fun games and milking IP's.

They are saving up their pennies to buy the batman console off scalpers. Poor babies.

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

The Xbox One as it stands is the more attractive package. Batman will definitely change that, though .

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

There really weren't any big releases for the month, besides MKX, which, despite selling better on PS4, isn't going to push hardware on either end, so the many bundles MS still has floating helped bolster it. I feel like XBone will slightly edge out PS4 in May as well, seeing the massive marketing it's getting with XBone. June should definitely be a PS4 month though, with that Batman bundle.

Xbox historically dominates holidays. Always has, last year they where outselling PS4 in NA Almost all season.
