Wow some of you don't like the fact that Xbox one an NPD this year. It's okay. Competition is good for everyone and it doesn't spell doom.

Almost no game at all got released that month. Plus the runaway success of Bloodborne might have preempted quite a few to buy a PS4, thus lowering the sales the month(s) after. And then there are also a few "losses" due to the upcoming Batman Bundle

As to why the Xbox ONE is so much up YoY, I really have no idea. Can't be MKX alone, or can it?

It's gotten to the point where it's becoming ideal to jump into "next" gen. With that in mind I think the Xbox did so well because it's the cheapest way into HD gaming and the deals/bundles are insane. Market saturation for PS4 in America is apparent - aren't we one of the few remaining countries that hasn't received a price drop?

Why we talk only about PS4 drop?
WU dropped 84,000 to 42,000, 3DS dropped 263,000 to 114,000.

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part since I'm hoping for a price drop but I'd be inclined to believe it's market saturation for the current price point coupled with lack of big exclusives in April.

in a sentence: xbox is the supreme console to buy right now because of the constant stream of blockbuster exclusives while the ps4 is become complacent with their success and has yet to put out even one game worth playing in 2 years.
