Forums - Movies & TV - Mad Max: Fury Road = 99% Fresh?

Being a Mad Max/Road Warrior fan from the 80's, It's hard to believe the latest version hitting theatres now would be well received.  Yet, it isn't just well received, it's EXTREMELY well received.  As of now, 139 of the 140 reviewers have given it a positive review.  For almost ANY movie, that is hard.  But, a blockbuster sequel that doesn't include the original actors in any way being released 20 years later?

I was going to pass, but I now am interested enough to check it out for myself and see what I think.

It is near the end of the end....

Going to the awesome theater with leather recliners and liquor and food on Saturday to watch it! Have to be honest I LOVE the originals, and I thought the previews for this one were way to "hollywooded" out, but with reviews like that it has to be great.  The suspense in the original Mad Max is matched by few, and the vehicle chases in Road Warrior are phenomenal.

From what I hear and for a lot of people it is the best action blockbuster of not only the year, but of a long time as well. Only because of this I am going to see the movie

Totally awesome movie. The script is not the best but the design of the cars, the action, the atmosphere is absolutely awesome. Its a straight action movie from beginning to the end just an fyi.

I mean, it's George Miller, you know, the creator of Mad Max back at the helm... Now with the budget and the tech to fully realize his initial vision.

Never doubted for a moment that this was not only going to be a stellar movie, but arguably the best in the series.
