Forums - Movies & TV - End of an era? Harry Shearer (Flanders, Smithers, Mr. Burns, Skinner etc.) Leaves Simpsons

Good time to use this.

Around the Network

Simpsons hasn't bee great since season 9 at best for me. It has gone on for way too long, I cant even watch any episode after 2001 at most.

Huh, wonder how long the series will last now. I know the creator of it wanted it to end a while ago, now it seems as though that might happen in the not-so-distant future. I'm not a fan myself, but I'm working towards a field in psychology and if you know anything about teachers into psychology its that they have some odd obsession with The Simpsons

He did a great job.

That's truly impressive.

I adore Harry Shearer. I can't say I'll miss him on the show as I haven't watched regularly since I was in high school. But he deserves all the credit in the world for creating the voices (and personalities) for some truly iconic characters.

I wish him luck with his future projects.
