He knows 95% of those laws won't pass. I think there's one or two in there that he DOES want to pass though, that while bad for the people seem minor in comparison to the other proposals making it far easier to get these core bills passed. That is how politicians work, right? Sneak something by while distracting with utterly criminal proposals?

Well, maybe in the UK, the US they basically attach the deplorable to an actually vital bill, which ends up scuttling the bill, which makes it get rewritten and someone adds yet another shitty sub-section, which ends up scuttling it etc...

And THAT is how you grind the American Government to a screeching halt.

As a US citizen my post actually reflected how I see our government passes bills lol. For instance, the SOPA act. Wound up voting no on it only for some of the core principals to pop up later and I believe get passed because the general public was not well informed.

I'm confused. This isn't satire?

SOPA only failed because of a grass roots awareness campaign from outside the Government.  Had enough people calling into their reps to make them fear for their jobs.

Lets hope that prince Charles sends a letter to influence british politics.. >_>

There is something wrong with your politics if prince charles can have influence on it..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I actually agree.

The country is filled with scum who ironically exploit the freedom they have, when the country they come from would have broken their legs and beat them to a pulp for the same actions.

The culture is changing for the worse and the laws need to keep up, otherwise expect more of those riots.

They also need to stop backing down from people being politically correct and cops need more authority. Everytime I see them, they are being played for fools by 8 year old kids or filling in paperwork.

I wasnt born in the UK but I'd be 10x more angry if I were 100% british.

So, why did anyone vote for this guy again?

Are british people really so desperate to exit the EU, that they put up with this?
Especially when the entire EUs reaction to that 'threat' was basically a collective shrug?
I'm sorry Britain, I usually really like you, but sometimes I just don't get you.

I worry about our future under the Conservative government. They want to reinstate fox hunting, claiming the banning of the "sport" has done nothing for animal welfare! And I'm really worried about the NHS, more and more of it is being privatised, I don't want to end up like the US where you have to shop around for the best deal on health insurance.

Britatin too tolerant?
You should visit Brazil........ just two things that happen here that people feel "normal": women dancing naked on the Carnaval Parade and small children singing rap songs with explicit sexual content. And this is only the beggining....

Our public over here are gullible that's why, the majority believed a campaign by newspapers against Ed Milliband on the economy and highlighted Cameron doing well with the economy when the are in fact many different factors behind the figures. Unemployment fell under Cameron because of zero hour contracts were you are working for free essentially and don't have as many working rights, the British economy would have gone awry back in the recession no matter who was in government but Cameron pinned it solely on Labour when in fact any other party would have run into the same problems.

The UK economy is improving but not benefitting anyone in the country apart from the rich few and that's all Osbourne's approach will ever do, contrary to popular belief the whole EU issue is more even in the UK then us wanting to get out, leaving the EU would be disastrous for us being a financial capital in the world through London.

This is how British politics has been allowed to operate for over thirty years. Human and civil rights, plus public services, are eroded by a hundred small steps, either in the name of "anti-terror" or "market competition".

And yes, it's true the current government want to abolish the Human Rights Act. More alarmingly, they're willing to with draw from the European Human Rights Convention, established by the UK (among other European powers) after World War 2, so that governments couldn't infringe on their own citizens or other nation states the way that fascist governments had done in the lead up to World War 2.

By no means does this equate Cameron with Hitler, because Cameron is only concerned with shoring up support from right-wing voters, and crucially, his right-wing Parliamentarians, who could, because of the tiny majority the government commands, pose serious problems if Cameron doesn't placate them. Like his negotiations with Europe or his reaction to the Scottish independence referendum, Cameron is putting the future of his political party ahead of the interests of the UK, and ahead of the standing of human rights law across Europe. It's a damning indictment of the one-sided, short-sighted oppertunism that has pervaded politics in Britain, and it has to be said that 'New' Labour did nothing to prevent us from sliding down this slope.
