(Yes, that is a Splatoon commercial. Yes, it's nearly 6 months after launch. I'm just as surprised as you are)

Nintendo, properly advertising a Wii U game.

This is freaking weird.

I'm ready!

After this one, i will give a break of half hour to play the other mode, dont know if you would be interested?

No I'm done for tonight, thanks great games!

NNID/PSN: Kung_Kjartan

Just remembered I bought this game months ago and played it for like 30 minutes, should go back to it.

On a side note, all the porn from the female link is pretty neat.

I'm mostly surprised that they did this for a brand new IP. Granted, it's wildly successful now but they didn't know it would be initially, so to see it get a bigger marketing push than established IPs like Donkey Kong, Pikmin and even some Mario games was a huge shock.

That Splatoon Commercial made me smile weirdly.......=D Nintendo Hit the ball out of the park with this one. Hopefully this would give them some "HINT" for their future games and new IPs.

Yeah, I was sure they were going to send it out to die, not wanting to invest advertising in an unproven new IP.

Same. It's a shame XCX won't get similar treatment. I'm just hoping it gets decent advertising at the very least. That would already be a step above what the original got.

Yeah, XCX deserves a strong push to the general population, but it seems like they are only marketing it to their established following via the internet.

Well they've been taking out ads in Game Informer for it and such so they are doing something.  But right now I just find the industry wide silence on the marketing front right now weird.  And it isn't just Nintendo.  I have seen next to nothing from any of the Big 3 or major third parties lately.  And Thanksgiving is next week!  I'm wondering if they're saving resources for the week of and then from Thanksgiving to Christmas?  It's just so odd, normally by now there would be lots of marketing from everyone, but instead there's just silence.
