So I've seen quite a few people complain here that amiibo are on-disk dlc locked behind a big paywall. This content that's locked away must be a big deal apparently. Let's put this notion to the test shall we.

I just love being able to own figurines of some of my favorite characters, including Shulk and Mega Man.

That, and their scarcity and value makes it rather exhilarating to hunt and collect.

Well, there are a lot of little reasons that add up... though getting any of them (that is not common) is a pain so I basically gave up in getting more.

So in short: a physical figurine (yay!) that gives you dlc bits for multiple games and does random things that could possibly be useful for a relatively low msrp.

To rub myself up in a devious manner against Sheik's amiibo.

I buy them cause I love collecting figures (but I don't got that much money atm to buy most of them + anime figures T_T) and the content inside is a nice little bonus for me. I don't really buy amiibos for the content inside cause most of it is generally useless and not really care worthy

I don't buy amiibo as I don't care for toy figures nor for the in-game content they unlock as it's mostly trivial stuff. I say this while petting my Peach and Toon Link amiibo.

SSB is my favorite franchise and i love Nintendo. Figurines are awesome too.

I only own the Samus Aran amiibo. I'd buy Toon Link if I saw it in a store though. And I might buy the boy inkling amiibo.
