Day one for me, I dont listen to what youtubers say or think, I make my own decisions and form my own opinions on games.

I actually think it looks quite fun but the lack of voice chat is a deal breaker for me. I like to talk to people when I play multiplayer.

So... you're one of those guys I hate! :P

I'm one of those guys everyone hates.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

IGN says there are 28 levels.

No way...based on the gameplay videos each mission takes 2 minutes to complete, that's a 1 and a half hr game including boss fights.

Aside from the fact that one is a boss stage and the other is an early level, the level 5 video very clearly DOES not start at the beginning of the level and very obviously cuts out a portion in the middle of the video.

the game exceeded my expectations. I was planning on getting this used maybe a year down the road. Cancelled my pre-order with the voice chat announcement. Played the demo Friday, and Saturday morning. went to gstop and re-preordered it after the demo. I'm sold.

me personally, i cant take shokio seriously after how much he complains about stuff. He's gotten to the point where I consider him on the same level as Blackbond D:

You don't find at least some of his complaints legitimate though?(Not just about Splatoon)

He has points, hell, he even has good points, the problem is he focus' on the most pointless, inconsequential, meaningless stuff and keeps his focus there. Even the Splatoon video being a prime example. 15 minutes of whining about voice chat, seriously? Ughhhhh, glad I unsubscribed

I won't even get in to the nitpicking fit he was throwing over Smash.

The match making is one of the worst I've seen, could only get to play a few rounds. To make it worse, it searches for partners for a minute then gives out an error, so I have to constantly press buttons every minute when it again fails to connect, preventing me from multitasking and doing other things while I wait. I have great internet, around ~7MB/sec, when I play there is no lag, so it's not on my end.

To make things even worse, the rounds are over so quickly, I think they're like 2 or 3 minutes long?

So not day 1 for me. I love the game but with connecting taking so long it's a deal breaker.

Yesterday you had hundreds of comment on your thread of people telling you that they didn´t have any problem with the matchmaking and they get to play around 10 matches in one hour, and you are still insisting in this being a problem of the game instead of only your problem. Even your thread was locked for that, and you are still saying the same, it´s mind-blowing.

You can see several videos on youtube of people streaming the demo with 0 problems for the entire hour, and playing around 10 matches, like everybody is telling to you.

What the hell are you talking about. Just because others got a better connection doesn't mean mine was good as well. You should stop blowing your mind, it's natural for people to report their individual experiences. Read: this is an impression thread, and this is MY impression. I had issues with the game and therefore I will not be buying, BASED ON MY EXPERIENCES.  It's hilarious that you have the nerve to tell me I'm still insisting on reporting my own findings, not only completely missing the point of this thread but also implying that one should only post positive things about games YOU like. The match making was  terrible. As I said, it's not on my end, I have great internet at 7MB a sec. 2 weeks ago I was in the Rocket League beta as well as countless other betas before, ran smooth like butter everytime.  So yes, it is the match making that is terrible. I'm a huge multiplayer fan and this is the only game in years that gave me problems.  My thread was locked because there already was an impression thread and people felt so offended they drifted off from the OP and started flaming.

Are you kidding me? No one's saying your connection is crap and can't handle online games or something. All we're saying is the truth, and that is - virtually NO ONE had the issues you had. I don't know what happened there, but do you really think the game is at fault when you make a thread complaining about disconnects and you get dozens upon dozens of people saying they didn't have those problems, despite the servers being obviously at as high a load as they're probably ever going to get?

No are YOU kidding me? What does your or anyone elses not having issues have to do with MY experience? This is an impressions thread and I gave my impression, based on that impression I will not be buying it day 1 but when it's cheaper or used. Based on my impressions of several other betas, one as recently as a week ago, this is not due to my internet.

It is amazing how defensive some of you get. All you're saying is I shouldn't report my problems because "buncha other guys didn't have problems so it's your fault!". WHO OR WHAT IS AT FAULT DOESNT EVEN MATTER.

It has something do to with your experience because you're choosing not to buy a game solely on a non-issue that only happened to you and most likely won't happen again. Did you play just one session?

The non issue being the game not working, yeah it's a non issue.I played in 2 sessions, 3 or 4 rounds each. Same problems everytime.

I will not buy the game day 1, as I said, because I found it to be one of the worst match making ever.

You were/are making generalisations about Nintendo's online and Splatoon's matchmaking based on just your experiences. The vast majority of the people here and elsewhere had no issues.

So don't be surprised if people call you out on your generalisations. That's where the real issue lies, not with your personal experience (which you are free to share here).

That's in the past though. In this thread, all you hear is my impression about the beta. The real issue is people telling me not to post my impression because other people had better experience. "its your fault" No the hell it aint. And it doesnt matter who or what is at fault. I'm giving you my thoughts about the game, I didn't ask your thought about my thought. Who you think is at fault is irrelevant here.
