Biggest offenders are those who mistake your and you're.

Guilty as charged xD

I just stopped trying and made everything "your". lol!

Around the Network

obviously as an ESL, I will always be in disavantage against native speakers but tbh I only communicate with english speakers on the internet so it doesn't affect me irl. Actually I am glad my first language is spanish. As a norm people here learn basic english since kindergarden (which english speakers don't feel the need to do with a secobd language) and is easier to me to understand languages like portuguese or even italian.

Written language will never be an accurate description of spoken language. Write "spoken" spelling if you try to be cool - otherwise it is easier to read, and understand, if you write correctly.

It does not take much more time to write:

you are instead of you're (one key press less)

they are instead of they're (one key press less)

has not instead of hasn't  (one key press less)

...but it easier and more fluent to use it (you're - they're - hasn't) when you speak in real life.

It effects me only when i try to 100% a game to platin it for example and if there i no guide in my language yet.

When bloodborne came out i needed to turn the game sometimes into english to understand what is meant with that and this item in the internet to translate it into my game. For the chalice rituals it was very confusing at times.
