it should sell around 700k-1m LT. It is hard to imagining it in the same league as Zelda or other established IPs.

It will probably beat w101, but not by much.  right now vgc lists w101 as over 300k so with digital it is probably 400-500k?  I'm guessing splatoon sells 400-500k physically and adds another 100-200k digitally.  It really isn't that unreasonable of a prediction like some people are making it out to be...

If you played you would certainly know how good game is and how much potential for sale have.

Almost every Nintendo Wii U game is above or around 1m. Splatoon is 1+m seller, it great game and seems Nintendo is really pushing it.

1-2m is my range. It would have to be heavily bundled to reach 3m, in my opinion. (Or the Wii U would really have to take off in general)

Good games do not automatically gain good sales, if sales potential was affected by quality alone, top 50 lists would look quite different today. Conversely; there are plenty of games with mediocre reviews that get massive sales, most of the later Call of Duty games are good examples of this.
