Splat Roller Indeed!!! Especially if your not used to third person shooter, and dislike the gamepad.

I can't pick from all except the splattershot; they all require different playstyles and I enjoy switching between each of them.

Oddly enough, I find motion controls better for the charger; I'm actually able to get hits with it then. Otherwise dual analog sticks works better for the roller and splattershot jr.

Splattershot Jr, I dunno why but it was the best for me to use.

Roller for me. Though the Splattershot Jr. was good too; and the charger was useless under my command.

I liked both Splattershots, an edge for the Jr. due to its secondary and special weapons.

Wasn't very effective on head-on attacks with the roller, useful for covering the rearguard.

Jr. is just so much yes.

For those using the roller I'd advise caution as it's not as strong as it first seems people just aren't responding properly to it, the splattershot counters it hard especially anyone using motion controls with the latter. Had a hard start to hour 3 but when I really got the hang of motion controls with the Splattershot I began consistently splatting rollers.

Roller players are also predictable in their habits in a match as they flock to predictable locations where you can wait in squid form and ambush them when they show up. A good Splattershot player who effectively hunts down rollers can hurt the other team hard.

I would say normal splattershot, but the splatcharger can be really devastating if you are good at it, i started to get really good at it, and you can really cover a wide area if you are on a high spot
