Maybe because you are making an unnecessary negative thread about things that are not true when all the people that played the game are actually very happy about it and had 0 problems with it. It feels out of place.

Well it is true, the motion controls suck, and connecting to games suck because it takes too long and gives out an error every 10 seconds.

The motion controls are great, I though I wasn´t going to like them, and I love them, it´s accurate, intuitive and it feels fresh. Some people had to get used to it, and if they don´t like it they can turn them off.
And I had 0 error playing the game. On my house there´re 2 pc and 3 mobile phones connected to internet and I had 0 problems connecting. I wasnt even able to play the minigame while I wait because I didnt have to wait more than 30 seconds. And this is just a beta... with 0 errors in my experience.

OP, criticizing elements of a Nintendo game is frowned upon here. I hope you've learned your lesson. Next time, I'm going straight for the Report button.

Just say that it was awesome, that Nintendo has revolutionized shooters, and move on.

I think there's a motion controls stigma that gets people frustrated with it much faster than they would for traditional controls

The thing about motion controls and your internet is mostly about YOURSELF. Since it did not took me long to find a match even with like 5 dc's, ( only took about 1min max, which happened once in 2hours ) - Living in Australia btw!

And about the matches being short, well the point of that specific game mode is who ever inks the land more ( but you still do get bonus points from killing, but very less though ), So if this was like long, then it will make you go back to those inked by enemy places over and over again. Which will get tiring and repetitive.

I found this game mode to be Fast!
- You can easily Die
- You respawn fast
- You get to your location fast
- You move fast ( with the squid )

They want you to think quicker and act quicker. Especially how the demo is only for 3 hours. They want you to try out all the weapons quite a few times and go against a variety of players in terms of skills and location ( lag )

Pocky Lover Boy!

You can turn off motion controls. I got used to the motion control so I didn't bother with the settings.

It did take a few mins for my game to find 8 people but everything else was smooth. Considering I was against some Japanese players, too, I find that impressive.

I agree with Turkish.. I haven't played the game or have a WiiU but its so strange that no one agreed with him in this thread

I don't think it's strange. The populace at large who are into other consoles haven't played the beta so they're unable to comment on it, while Wii U owners are mostly Nintendo fans, so criticism is few and stands out more. I said the game was great, yet people are lambasting the thread as "yet another wii u game hate thread". This game could prolly be my favourie shooter in 2015 depending on SWBF later in the year.

Dont like the motion control, though you can turn it of, so no issue.

Only worked just fine. One connection error, no other issues. The longest wait may have been two minutes at best. I've had to wait much longer on other shooters.

I agree mainly with your post.

i realle hate the motion controls too and i just turned them off in the second hour and boom i got in EVERY GAME first place in my team. The motion is really bad in my opinion but as long you can turn them off im happy.

I had no issues with online in any way but i heard that many had. So i dont know about that it worls 100% fine for me. 0 problems.

And i really want a pro controller support for the game too. Its not impossible to add.
To jump to your teammate you can easily use the dpad on the pro controller (arrow up = teammate 1, arrow right = teammate 2,...).
It would be way better for me to get a minimap on the tv instead of the map on the gamepad. Im almost never checking the gamepad (because i play the game on the tv!!!) and its hard to not loose the orientation without a minimap.

Also: if they would do it that way, it would easily be possible to play together local online (like in cod). One play on gamepad one on tv. That would be alot fun and i think good advertisment. My friends already love mario kart 8 but if they also could play some spaltoon online together with me, they might even get the wii u just for the game.
The local 1vs1 doesnt soudn that spectacular though...

Awsome.

The thing is if Nintendo just made the choice of turning them off blatantly obvious, like a simple "yes or no to motion controls" after the tutorial instead of tucking them away safe and sound in the options then I wouldn't have been frustrated playing it and it wouldn't have lead to this thread, partially.

So... NINTENDO IS AT FAULT!
