You can adjust the sensibility of the motion controls too. from -5 to +5 or so. It´s -1 by default

To control looking up and down. With motion controls you still can use the stick for quick turning (left and right only), and gyroscope for percise aim.

I want the motion controls gone. If it's turned off, is it completely disabled and the right stick works like, say PvZ GW for turning and pointing?

Well the two console games I play online right now are battlefield 3 and GTA V so the bar for ease of getting online and server stability is pretty darn low for me lol

Yes, turn it off then. There is also sensitivity adjust if it is moving too slow.

Turkish said: Just played the global test fire. My thoughts: great idea for a multiplayer, gameplay is fun and addicting! The downsides? The controls are TERRIBLE (edit: just been informed that you can turn off motion controls, will try out next time), they need to get rid of the motion controls, most of the time I'm struggling to fix the camera and point ink. I seriously hope they patch in Pro controller support where I just move the gun and camera with the sticks the old way. I'd hate to not be able to play this because of some silly reason as controls. 2nd point: Nintendo's online is still in its infancy. First time booting up I had to wait 10 minutes to find a game, and it automatically gives error every 10 seconds "you were unable to connect to your partner", WTF? Why not let us stay in the pool of eligible, free players waiting to hop in like other games do? Also selecting a different weapon quits your current game, so you have to go through the whole process again (and the matches are short as heeelll). This is just awful, and I'm afraid if it is like this on day 1 I'm not getting it. |
You and I had VERY different experiences.
I love the controls, very intuitive expecially for an active player. It took me not time at all to learn the controls and I would love it if every shooter incorporated this kind of control scheme. Plus auto aim is for suckers.
On my first try to connect I got a message saying the server was full, so then I expected the worst and likely not going to be able to play. Second try I got on right away, went through the tutorial then found online matches. Each match populated very quickly for me, usually only enough time to make a couple jumps in squid jump. There were no errors or anything of the like for me, this is server based so the other user connection seems very odd.
I found it nearly flawless. Although the weapon select would be nice if you didn't have to rejoin.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.
