Not saying it contributed greatly to the boost, but it did chart.

The Dragon Quest Expansion of DQX sold 100k. And that means nothing, You can´t play the expansion without the original one, and the original DQX is not even on the top 20 of any chart. So it didn´t boost wiiu sales, there´s almost no new players to the game.

Great to see what XCX did for Wii U. Despite being a sequel to a 2010 game on Wii, it still managed to bring a good number of newcomers to Wii U.

It's a small sign that the franchise has appeal and that the Wii U can sell those type of games. All Nintendo needs is to make them more common on the console.
And hopefully, they won't need another 5 years to bring another sequel!

It's still a clear factor, along with the hardware bundle. 

It´s a very tiny factor, and the Bundle is not a reason outside XCX, the bundle is XCX.

Not fair at all. golden week plus an additional release (DQX) helped get to 23k so it's very difficult to know how much could be allocate to XCX.

Edit: if the expansion can't be played without the original then it's safe to say the bundle did move consoles.
