It's not terrible but bad.
23k with one of the biggest games (or the biggest?) in Japan this year.
PS4 and 3DS are doing such numbers weekly in Japan.

23k is very good if average weekly numbers are 7k.

Comparing it with last week Wii U numbers? Yes.
Comparing it with PS4/3DS numbers? No.

PS4 sold less than WiiU this week (and it's first half of golden week) and 3DS didn't set the world on fire. Overall a pretty mediocre week in hardware sales. That this is golden week shows a problem.

3k difference and PS4 had no new game. I expected more from Wii U hardware.

We have to see if it last first. One week alone means nothing.

FExSMT will probably due better due to it having an interest from 2 different fanbases.

Splatoon might even do better.

So it really isnt one of the biggest games of the year.

Hell DQ10 3.0 beat it.

Bets:

(Won)Bet with TechoHobbit: He(Techno) says 10 million by January 1,2014 I say 9 million by then. Winner gets 2 weeks of sig control.

(Lost)Bet with kinisking: I say Ps4 will win April NPD while he says Xbox One will win it; winner gets 1 week of avatar control.

Raichu's First Series:

First RPG?

First Fighter?

First Racer?

First Shooter?

First MMO?

First Horror?

Official Ni No Kuni Fanboy:

Familiars Captured:37

Game Beaten: 2 times almost

Times I got teary during some scenes: 3

ps4 didn't get any boost and 3ds only 4k boost so wii u is doing good and ps4/3ds bad

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Pretty decent sales for Wii U considering the Japanese market is so unpredictable when it come to home consoles, and the situation Wii U is in. Its also fair to say that the "holy grail" of home consoles the PS4 didnt exactly set the world alight on golden week either.
