Forums - General Discussion - Whooo! My Greatest Life Achievement

I have just been accepted to the University of Michigan.     Yesssssss!!!!!

There I will earn my masters degree in Architecture.

It got me thinking, it might just be my greatest achievement in life so far. I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing. But its the truth.  Now all I need to do is listen to the proper music, drink a beer or two and take in the moment.

Life Begins, Life Ends...   but for now the University of Michigan is just fine.  And of course between it all are video games to hold it all together.

Video games are the mortar to the bricks in life.

My greatest achievement in gaming would have to be getting 120 stars in Super Mario 64. It may not be that great of an achievement, but at the time when I did it, I couldn't be prouder.

What is your greatest life achievement?, and if you cant answer that question..

What is your greatest achievement in gaming. Both are hard questions I know.

Mine was when I became a VGChartz Obsessive...

Then they demoted me to Pro.

Sad times.

Yeah, all I know is that I am all of a sudden a newbie again.
To this , I say ....Good. The longer I can stay a newb, the better.

Greatest achievement in life? Easy, becoming a dad: the single greatest moment of my life was watching my son being born.
Greatest achievement in gaming? Dunno, poss finishing Ninja gaiden black without cheats or beating Bruce Lee on the speccy 20 times without dying once, or maybe beating the WTR burning route in Burnout paradise while upside down with 3 wheels after crashing and having 0 seconds left on the clock. I have played far too many games to think of any others right now.

Congrats.

I got rejected by Cambridge for the Natural Science Degree :(, then I got rejected by Imperial College London for the Physics Degree :(. But I got accepted by Warwick University for the Physics degree =))))

Congrats, University of Michigan is an awesome school!

My greatest achievement: Getting a job in the gaming industry (been dreaming of that since I was in 6th grade when I read about Digipen in Nintendo Power).

My greatest gaming achievement: Having my friends stare at me in awe when I beat Tetris (they didn't know you could do that).

Greatest Achievement:
A project for the US gov that has saved lives. It's not classified anymore, but it's also nothing I should be talking about on a website either.

So, knowing something I have made has saved lives would by mine.

@TheRealMafoo

what is your current profession? If you don't mind me asking

Software Developer. I used to work at the US Battle Labs. They develop emerging technologies that one day might be used in the field. One project I worked on was deployed, and has saved dozens of lives.

No I work in the private sector, and while I make a lot more money, what I do know is of a lot less importance. :(
