My favourite one is the one that sold the least.

But it probably has a pretty good attach-rate I'd hope.

Honestly gameplay wise....

Super mario Galaxy I & II > Super Mario 3D world, by alot.

So I feel like its justified, however its probably only because of how big the install base for the Wii was.

SMG games were amazing, but i do think 3D world has a much more fun factor in it. Especially with the multiplayer in it.

That said its not justified because if 3D World was on Wii, i bet it would of killed SMG in sales because of it being on the "Wii" :p

SM3DW's sales are fantastic, the attach rate is like 45%. Could definitely beat Sunshine. Meanwhile, SM3DL will probably become the best selling 3D Mario in a couple years. SMG deserves it though.

installbase, time on the market and timeframe of release all play a part here.
Then again, numbers are numbers.

3D World will at least match Sunshine.

Galaxy sales were great, but the one that is really impressive is Super Mario 64DS! It's a remake that almost matched it's parent and sold a whopping 11m. I can't think of any other remake ever that sold so much that's not called Pokemon, and I'm not even a 100% sure about Pokemon either!

Imhappy with SM3DW doing 5mil, 4.5mil seems like a lock at this point

As long as 3D World surpasses Sunshine, I'll be happy. It's way too good of a game to be the worst selling 3D Mario.
