Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo To Team With Universal Studios For Theme Park Attractions

i'm kind of surprised nintendo is willing to let others touch their IP but this is really cool.

i want to go to universal to see harry potter land but this will certainly sweeten the deal. my son is almost 1 so hopefully by the time he's old enough to enjoy disney/universal this will be built.

I am going sometime in November in 2016. So I hope they have it up.

There's so many cool rides that could be created from Nintendo's IPs. Guess I'll have to plan a return to Orlando when this is done!

Signature goes here!

Never heard of Universal Park before, do they have them in Asia?

I'm really hoping a sizable portion of this isn't simply reskinning existing rides. Like if the Hulk just turns into "get launched out of a pipe on Yoshi". Was rather disappointing when Harry Potter did the same with Dueling Dragons.

This should be interesting... I like how Nintendo is finally expanding their means of advertising

Always loved Florida's Universal Studios, though I do miss BTTF and Jaws I can say this is some interesting news and I'm definitely on board with what Nintendo and Uni could bring to the park.

I can just imagine the gift shops now, you'll never get me to leave the premises.

Yes they have one in Tokyo (Universal Studios) and one in Singapore along with two in the US (Los Angeles and Orlando).

This is the famous Universal globe at the one in Japan:

I wonder if they'd consider one in Europe at some point. Spain? London? Paris? Germany?

Apparently one is opening in Moscow, Russia in 2018 and another in China in 2019, so both those will likely have the Nintendo attractions.

Damn can not wait for this to open already :)

The Orlando one is packed and they can't really expand all that much. Harry Potter took a lot of space. They could easily get rid of Toon Lagoon and transform it into a Nintendo area though. Or the Dr. Seuss one I guess. It's showing its age.

I honestly think it is fantastic news. Would love to go on Nintendo themed rides as Universal always had the better rides, while Disney had the nostalgia/charm.
