Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Safe to say the WiiU is worst selling Nintendo home console of all time.

2012 - 2,247,216 (launch)
2013 - 3,113,285
2014 - 3,674,351
2015 - 509,493  (estimate for 2015 - 3,750,000)

If the Wiiu can sell 3.75 million unit this year, they are still 9 million away from matching Game Cube numbers. I'm thinking the last big year for WiiU is 2016. Expect sharp decrease before it's eventually discontinued.

**There already rumors of a new console from Nintendo in the works.

**Seem like Zelda will be the last AAA Nintendo consoles on the system release in 2016.

**3rd party support is all but gone

**Nintendo doesn't seem keen on dropping the price, they might simply prefer to abbadon the WiiU for the next console.

Yeah, it's almost safe to say that unless something magical happen. It may hit 20million though.

Very safe thing to say. Its a shame though, its a quality console and there's a lot of fun to be had on it :(

Your right until proven otherwise.

Get ready to have this thread bumped in 5 years "if" WiiU passes Gamecube.

Boy, get ready to be OWNED in 5 years! Won't you feel silly ;P

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I'm not sure why this is even a topic anymore, this has been clear to most people for quite some time now.

There's no denying this, that's for sure.

As a fan of Nintendo and Super Smash Bros, it pains me a bit to admit this, but it's the truth.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I think it was safe to say that a while ago for better or for worse. Unless Nintendo decides to keep it alive for a lot longer than anticipated, I don't see it turning around
