I'm all in for physical media.I only buy digital games in sales where they are like 5 bucks or something. If the price is remotely similar, physical media is the way to go.

I also can't understand how, in a time where games range from 20 to 50GB, anyone would like to have all this stored on an HDD or to have to redownload any game after deleting it.

You can always play your games on your primary PS4 offline without ever connecting to the PSN. Only on a secondary console you have to be logged in.

Yes. You can also play the digital games when logged in another account in the same console. I think he is confusing something.

Really? It's just a demo. I hope that you're joking...

Oh, it really is a demo. A demonstration showing what can happen when you go fully digital.

Ah, yes it is a possibility with digital games. I was just confirming what you meant. I agree with ya though.

I'm warming up to digital gaming but only for smaller-scale games. I will never buy something like Xenoblade or Zelda digitally.

I only buy digital games when they are hugely discounted (50% or more) or indie games, otherwise, I prefer physical.

For me, physical FTW.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

As of right now I'll use Witcher 3 for my example.  The game at the moment costs 62.99 on the store if I was to preorder it today. That plus the fact there is no tax as well I end up saving about $14 overall. For me that is a fairly decent amount back in my pocket to get the game roughly at the same time.  However I love having physical versions of my console games. I don't ever trade games in nor do I rarely lend them out to buddies.  So should I just accept that if I can go digital and save some money I should do it. Is going majority physical a thing of the past? Am I just cheaping out?

embrace digital.... no more disc swapping, protect from disc physical damage (accident, pets & younger sibblings, cousin, nephews).

Ask yourself do you actually enjoy the experience and joy of playing witcher 3 or is it owning the physical copy? The saving will help you deal with the emotional lose of not owning the disc.

The main reason for staying physicals is the resale which is something you don't do. I say don't enjoy the collection, enjoy the experience.

The reason why I go digital is because you can share those games with another PS4.

To illustrate: I actually paid $27 for The Witcher 3 on PSN, my friend paid the other half.

If you don't know what I'm talking about then you are missing out the best feature Digital has to offer.

they best solution would be if you could buy digital with an option to get a physical copy delivered as well.
