Remember, an very important number of 360 players were also PS2 players. Also, being one of the first Collections (alongside God of War, if I am not mistaken) before if became extremely popular to do a collection of almost every single thing, and that it brought not only two marvellous games as MGS2 and MGS3, but also Peace Walker for the first time into a console and not a portable, and you have a Game/Collection that sells by itself.

 

And Metal Gear Solid 2 was already on Xbox, but that's a different affair. :P

MGS is multi now(ps, Xbox, PC), not having MGS4 on the system is part of the reason why it sold less as well.

what you said doesn't make sense, you want konami to think:

"it sold less on Xbox, let's skip easy money by skipping Xbox and PC and those ending up selling less MGS5 as well" 


It sold 6 million units, the same like 2
