that no one posted or cared about

Hmm. Didn't know about this. Very smart on Sony's part. If they can expand this to other popular Blu Ray player brands, they can make some serious money from it.

i think they should let it be exclsuive to their players to icnrease hardware sales, blue ray player mostly still have their own OS

I say they should keep it on the PS4. Most people in the Sony products ecosystem already have a PS4.

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

The idea is good but i don't think it's going to take off.
PS3 games are still too fresh to be something worthy of investing money in. Had Sony offered PS1 and PS2 games... now that would be a different story!
Some people wouldn't mind reliving games from their childhood or youth; overall, a much better proposition.

Are people ready to stream games with the danger of delays and hiccups?
Hiccups in a movie... acceptable. There's no interaction.
In a game? It matters and i don't think that the majority of people have the broadband connection required to avoid that.

So now there's no reason to buy a PS3 and soon PS4? That is essentially the idea behind PSNow is it not?

Kind of like chopping off their own head.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

So I take it that you're also ok with Sony no longer making consoles and hardware 10 years from now? Because this is obviously the first steps towards being an Onlive-like, hardware agnostic company... ala Sega.

I have a sad feeling that dedicated home consoles aren't going to be around for much longer. Sony might eventually have to go a strictly digital route and make Playstation a 100% digital service.
