Havn't seen an article about this yet but has anyone played Shovel Knight on the XB1 and what do you think of the Battletoads being in it?

Seeing these guys again was Nostalgia at its best.

My guess would be this is a lead up to a future Battletoad game, possibly mention for this years E3

This is pretty old actually. When they announced this they teased a full release of Battletoads btw ;)

But yeah i literally just beat the Battletoads mission. It was really good with the bike section. You get Toad Gear once you beat it, and then you become OP because you have all the battletoads moves including Run and the big boot/fist xD

I saw the Toad Gear but i didnt know you can use the Toad Attacks. That sounds pretty awesome.

Kratos is in Shovel Knight for Playstation. I thought Microsoft was actually going to do something themselves. Raised my hopes for nothing.

Somewhat old news, but yeah, I love these crazy crossovers.

I see people in the comments section of the 2nd one saying it looks much better than the Kratos fight. I might actually buy this now.

Hopefully that happens, but I wasnt hyped at all when I heard it was a cameo in shovel knight and i'm far from hyped for the Playstation version as well. Its like throwing people a bone who grew up playing these games a bone because you own the their nostalgia that they had from other consoles. If they come out a Battletoads game themselves i'll be hyped. MS has been doing a good job to make up for a lot but...this is almost on level with Conkers reestablishment, which is merely a sideshow.

If Microsoft had actually created these games they would have more respect, but this it seems is what happens when you buy someone elses legacy.

During Xbox boss Phil Spencer's Game Developers Conference panel today, it was announced that the Battletoads will be making an appearance in the Xbox One version of Shovel Knight--and it was teased that that is not all that awaits the long-dormant franchise.

At the end of a Shovel Knight trailer showing off universal app support, the Battletoads made a brief appearance, teasing their inclusion in a future update to the platforming game. This was followed by ID@Xbox head Chris Carla making a quip about where we might see the Battletoads next.

Well we still don't really know if battletoalds get a game they could be in an other game aswell. So long we know nothing better hope not to much.

Really nice and nostalgic, though I am irked that the Wii U/PC aren't getting anything unique or extra and I'd love something Valve related like the team behind STFU did with their game, then again XB1 didn't get any unique content either and the same is happening to Jamestown with PC =/.
