I'm guessing you meant shouldn't?
OT: No, they shouldn't. If they want to make a spiritual successor they have the funds to do so. Also, Naughty Dog would never make it.
Nintendo should do an F-Zero kickstarter.
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

lol Sony is worth billions and you want them to open a kickstarter?
If anything people should be making a change.org petition demanding that Sony force Naughty Dog to make a spiritual successor to Crash.
Nah. They have the funds to do it themselves. Not like ND would ever want to though.
BraLoD said: As I said in the OP, Sony wouldn't actually only use it to kickstart it, it doesn't need it, but it could be a nice move to create hype and measure expectations, as ND is very busy with both Uncharted and TLoU. |
yes, take all the consumer money to make hype and measure the potential sale numbers. best idea ever!
A billion dollar company doing Kickstarter would defeat the purpose of Kickstarter. They have the money.
I think at this could get Crash from activation, but the question now, would it be financially worth it? Like will making a new exclusive crash game pay off, or will it go the route of most platformers as of of late and be a commercial/ critical failure? Personally, I'm all for it, but Sony's finally getting back on their feet, and I don't want to see them make a mistake that could cost them more than it's worth.
Edit: Also, if Sony did do this, they should find a different developer. I'd rather ND work on their new IP instead. I think they've long since outgrown Crash Bandicoot.

havnt you read the OP? its to make hype and measure the market potential. thats a good way of spending the money of the people that want this game the most.
Naughty Dog prob doesnt want to go anywhere near a Crash game again. They seem more focused on shooters(3rd person like Uncharted) and games like last of us. Plus doesnt Crash belong to Activision now?
