And also Japan, but the Europe numbers really bother me. 

Why won't people buy the WiiU? The Ps3 doesn't even have games coming out anymore. It's kind of sad. 

I'm a big proponent of discontinuing last gen consoles when the new ones release. Its unfair and people need to get with the times. If you want a last gen console buy it used from Craigslist or EBay.

Nintendo home consoles never were popular in Europe. Europe = Playstationland DEAL WITH IT!!!

Well, speaking generally : EU loves Soccer (Football), and racing Sims.

A PS3 is a turn-key system with an instant MASSIVE cheap library, is also a fantastic media center (still better than PS4/X1!), etc.

I like the U, but it's kind of cursed tbh. If only the tablet had been skipped altogether they would have been able to cut the price a lot.

I think we don't buy many Nintendo consoles period, except for the wii that was so popular. We prefer PS because it appeals us more and has all the amazing games. <3

They are kind of popular in your country though, also in france that´s something :P

That's basically it. Even in the old days, the MegaDrive outsold the SNES in Europe.

Its sad that gamers are missing out on genuinely good games, as bad as sales are the Wii U is a very good system. Just the way it is I suppose, one minute you are top dog then nobody wants to know you. As a Wii U owner I'm glad that Nintendo are at least showing decent support, and still putting out quality games.

The PS3 has a massive library of great games(some which can be purchased brand new for like $20US or less) in every single genre almost, plays blu-rays and has a strangle hold over Europe.
