As for now, VGChartz have PS3 above XB360 by nearly 2:1 this year...

Now... what is the Sony / MS shipment ?

We have PS3 at 400,000 confirmed.

For the XB360, we can estimate between 400,000 and 600,000, because we have XBOX at 1,600,000, and we know that XBO is down YOY in the US (the most important XBOX market) by around 50,000 (710,000 VS 660,000)...

So, we can say that XB360 is at MINIMUM 400,000 ship, and XBO at MAXIMUM 1,200,000 (equal to last year).

My estimate are XB360 at 500,000 and XBO at 1,100,000, seem more probabily for me, because XBO is down YOY in the US, and for XB360 the last official numbers was on January NPD, with 40,000, only down by 15%/10% compared to last year (In 2014 XB360 have sold less than Wii U in Jan NPD, and we know that Wii U is at 49,000, so, XB360 is at 48,000 maximum, compared to 40,000 of 2015)...

That's why i don't see XB360 at 400,000, 50% dropped compared to last year seem too much... 35 / 40 % dropped seem more probabily, you don't think?

But ok., even if XB360 is at 400,000 shipped this quarter, is EQUAL to PS3.

But according to VGChartz, PS3 is above XB360 by 2:1 in the first quarter of 2015...

That is not reasonable.

Shipment =/= sales, i know, but still...

I don't want say that PS3 is overtracked, but seem that XB360 is SERIUSLY undertracked!

Vgchartz estimates sales not shippments. Xbox 360 doesnt seem to be getting many games anymore, tombraider will probably be the last AAA game. PS3 will survive longer dueto japanese support, and the sales should reflect this as it would be logical.

PS3: 35,000 (down by 35% compared to 2014)

Seem that XB360 have even better legs than the PS3... just for example.

Yes, Seece discovered a long time ago that VG has been overtracking ps3 and undertracking 360. In fact it we learned that ps3 never passed 360 and is still behind by a few million in terms of shipment numbers.

That doesn't really make much sense, why is 360 shipping equal or greater amounts than PS3 if it's selling half as much?

No its not, this thread is about global sales. Globally they have shipped similar numbers last quarter, yet Vgchartz has PS3 selling almost twice as much as 360.
