Forums - Gaming Discussion - Playing P.T. for the first time; scared out of my wits

Hi!

I have never really played horror games... but I downloaded P.T. before it was taken off PS4, because I heard it was really good and this would be the last chance I would have to play it...

Except I can't play it !  maybe Its because I've played horror games before, or maybe because P.T. is actually really scary...  I always get attacked and then have to put the game down for an hour before I play it again... maybe I shouldn't have started at 2:30 last night... my roomate was playing it with me until he thought it was too scary and hid under the covers of his bed...

Any tips for playing horror games for someone who is not used to them?  anyone else playing PT for the first time?  is this a game where I should look up what to when im stuck or is it a game where I need to discover everything myself for it to still be fun?

Don't be a wimp. ;)

If you're getting scared, brighten up you're room and turn the volume down (assuming this game dosen't require you to listen to things in order to move forward). I heard that there's puzzles in P.T., so you might wanna look up some stuff if you need to. I can't really give you advice on making the game fun, getting scared would make the game fun. Well, for me at least.

I'm really enjoying getting this scared! I'm just really not used to it at all!

Can't wait to get my PS4 to play this.

the best thing you can do is play the game alone at 3:00 am for the best experience!

or you could just play it in the middle of the day with a group of friends and with some beer.

It's almost impossible to finish the game without looking up how to. If you're scared try playing it day time with the lights on. I personally played it at night with the lights off while wearing headphones it was scary, but I loved it.

I have it on my download list.

:)

sigh... this was a game I would have loved to play when I would get a PS4 some day, but it seems that will never be... u_u and I love horror games too...

I think to become more used to horror games, you just have to play or watch them. You build a tolerance over time until they don`t scare you as much, or the fear itself is exciting to you.. >: )
