Forums - Gaming Discussion - 43 Days to E3 - 8 Press Conferences. Could This be the Best/Biggest E3 Ever?

Talk about the Nintendo reveals!

I will lose all hope if F-zero, AC, or Metroid are not announced.

Around the Network

I think that both Sony and MS will have very strong showings this E3, with MS coming out on top with Halo 5 and Gears of War.

About Nintendo...
Well, i think that if people are expecting a showing like last year they will probably be dissapointed.
Last year, Nintendo hyped it good ("the one you have been waiting for" - they said) and they delivered! Their focus was clearly on 2015 games and they also had Smash and Amiibo.

This year, there's no predictable heavyweight now that Zelda is out. And they have already said that this E3 will focus on 2015 games.
Not that new games won't be shown. Although I can't really see them showing more than 3/4 games for 2016.

What games/announcements might be shown:
Metroid, a Mario remake, something CoD, Animal Crossing and 8-bit Amiibo to launch alongside Mario Maker!
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Mario symphony coming our way to celebrate the 30th anniversary. :)

Overall, i think it will be a good show with some really cool games and probably more focus on 3DS than last year.

haven't seen this much anticipation ever...going to very interesting

Oh calm down. You guys are always so melodramatic.

And you forgot to mention Wave Race.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I definitely think this year could be the best E3 yet. If even half of things that are rumored for E3 this year are announced, it will already be the best E3 since I started watching E3 (2006 I think).

Which games do you think will be announced? :)

Well, Fallout 4 and Dishonored 2 are both rumored from Bethesda. Visceral's Star Wars game and either Bioware's new IP will probably be announced at EA's conference. Ubisoft has been rumored to be working on Beyond Good and Evil 2, a Prince of Persia reboot, and a new Splinter Cell for a few years now, I imagine that at least 1 of those 3 will be announced this year. Microsoft could announce Banjo 3 and perhaps a few other surprises. Sony could announce Guerilla's new IP. There have been rumors that Rockstar might make their first E3 announcement this year (Rockstar themselves said they'd be announcing their next game in 2015). All in all this is shaping up to be a very nice E3 imo.

Yup, even without Zelda, this could very well become the best E3 ever.
