Around a week ago, I posted about VGChartz being a month behind on sales data. A day or two later, another member expressed concern. That's it! I would have thought a riot would have broke out by now. The data is 5 weeks behind! We are clueless about sales now. Why have they quit updating? Is that part of their changes. Are they not going to cover sales anymore? And why aren't they telling us anything?

Not really. We do care and there were plenty of threads every week by people complaining about the lack of updates but I think they stopped posting them cause it was just getting to the point of nonsense

No, you are not. There have been many threads from different users that talked about it.
As for the reasoning, not too sure why it is so behind but we have had countless threads to ruminate about it already so maybe search one of those and you'll find a good answer.

Of course we care! We are just used to it by now.

Getting those numbers updated would be nice, but I guess I can wait for it.

The numbers were off by a big margin sometimes any way so i barely look at them these days. As long as there are updated numbers at some point so you can look up past sales if necessary then i'm fine with it.

Maybe they should consider monthly sales charts and work out weekly distribution later, if the numbers need a lot of adjustments all the time they are pretty pointless and it costs a lot of extra work.

I still remmeber back in the 7th gen when waiting an extra day or two for the updates meant that most users will take up arms and started banging on VGC HQ doors. Now I mostly come to see official numbre threads from other trackers like NPD, Mediacrate, COMG etc.
