Most of the From Software games were Playstation exclusive (Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, King's Field...). 

Don't go there, otogi, ninja blade were Xbox/360 exclusives.

dark souls, Armored core are multi.

Yep, an ID@Xbox indie publisher. I fully expect them to still be multiplat as most others are.

Looking at wikipedia, they don't seem to have released a critically successful game. Does an official Xbox studio mean MS bought them? if so, why?

It's about potential, I'm sure they will get more funding and better resources now.

If they are buying potential, I find it hard to believe this was anywhere near their best bet. Unless they tried for other studios, who weren't interested. This studio's track record is poor.

This article makes it sound like MS bought them. It seems just like a partnership to me, similar to Sony & Devolver digital

What does "Official Xbox Publisher" even mean? Sounds to me just like someone who publishes a game on Xbox.



If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
