Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Deck13 Becomes Official XBox Publisher, Four Titles Coming To XB1

Deck13 Interactive, the German studio behind last year’s hit Lords of the Fallen, sent out a press release today stating that they’re now an official Xbox publisher.

Deck13 also clarified that they have four titles lined up to be released on Xbox One; the lineup will be officially announced “soon”. In all likelihood, this translates to the E3 period; a few days ago Deck13 had confirmed to be working on a “core” title that will be published by Focus Home Interactive and is scheduled to be announced at E3, this is probably one of those four.

Good move from Microsoft, this studio could be the From Software of Microsoft!

can't say i played lords of the fallen or proabably anything else by deck13 but it's good to see MS investing in expanding their 1st party offering. this makes their E3 2015 sound a whole lot less bleak to me.

am i wrong or doesn't this annoucement make them a whole lot more coupled to MS than from software is to sony/nintendo?  from software is a lot more like platinum to me,.. a mercenary for hire.

Lords of The Fallen was a hit? 68 meta and very modest sales does not make a hit.

Looking at wikipedia, they don't seem to have released a critically successful game. Does an official Xbox studio mean MS bought them? if so, why?

Good stuff MSFT continuing to expand its first party portfolio.

Didn't it just become a indie publisher for ms... Doesn't read like first party to me.

Good news, wasn't expecting this :)

It's about potential, I'm sure they will get more funding and better resources now.

Most of the From Software games were Playstation exclusive (Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, King's Field...).
