they like the current gamepads and know that the better wii does, the more obsolete those gamepads become

they realize (even if won't admit it) that ps4/x720 will have motion/ir controls because those companies don't hate money and they hate that it is happening

for some it's a comfort thing...they don't want things to change too much
for others, they like the barrier to entry that the gamepads provide...they have spent years perfecting their 'craft' and want to maintain that 'elite' status
others are just loyal to sony or ms
others just like to complain
etc
etc

The PS3 launched at $600 US. XBox 360 launched at $400 - $500 US. The Nintendo Wii sticks with one model unlike its competitors. Nintendo does not f#@! people around so far it has delivered. Why the hatred towards a legendary video games company in Nintendo? Nintendo made video games mainstream and popular with the NES and SNES. People hate because they are jealous.

I think many people dislike the Wii because of the incredible 3rd party abuse.
There are very few dev's who take the Wii seriously so they make crappy minigames etc to make quick money.
The 3rd party support is there, no doubt, but not in the form that many were hoping, including me.

Personally, I've been and still am a huge Ninty fan, but the Wii does not sit well with me as I don't agree with their new scheme and bussiness model at all.
I've owned all Nintendo consoles except the SNES and loved them to bits, but the Wii is the end of my gaming winning streak, I just don't see the appeal any more...

I hate the Wii because I don't own it.
All the games I want to play are being released on it and make it impossible for me to play without having to shell out more money to buy a shitty console that is nothing more than 2 failed cubes duct taped together.
Even the stupid cube refused to die and kept working after so many years making me regret ever chosen it. My mommy would have got 5 PS2 by now!

I don't really like the Wii for the type of games I'm really interested in. Same with the DS, I'm REALLY BIG on Rpg's, and a massive thing for me in RPG's is Graphics, Audio, Cutscenes, etc etc. The PS3 is the system that seems created for the type of cinematic gameplay that I've grown so fond of over the years, however if the Wii continues it's success, I definitely see why more company's would make more games for it, and for me, that means (sorry wii fanboys >
