Well thats cool, my main complaint was actually how shitty the "bad" guy was. Like he was supposed to be the most powerful guy Goku has ever faced and yet I never even fealt like the world was under any threat. Seeing as we are going back to Frieza I think we'll be good this time round.

Beerus wasn't really a bad guy though. He's more like an anti-hero, and I'm certain he's going to team up with Goku and Vegeta in the new anime series. BoG was more of an introduction for new characters, new universes and a new form that will be the basis for the later movies and anime series.

I'm hoping the god form doesn't appear in the new series, is it confirmed that the new series is taking the movies as canon?

just watch the original series. what is the point of watching the new series still have the older content to watch. Most of the Sagas from DBZ were very good to great. You could find an episode guide that tells you which episodes are filler (pointless to the bigger story, but do add some charm to the series) if you want to save a little time.

I've probably watched at least half of DBZ. Just don't feel like starting it all over again and I wouldn't know where I left off. So yeah, would rather be able to start the new series without having to go through all that first.

Yes the movies are confirmed canon. The new series will include the God form. You can probably expect a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Blue-Hair Gogeta beating the final villain of the series.

The English dub isn't even necessary. The Japanese dub is so superior it's not even funny. The English dub can be outright cringeworthy at times.

Everything in the japanesse version is superior even the soundtrack.

Please tell me you are joking. Japanese Goku sounds retarded as hell. All of the english voices are powerful and damn awesome. The music is rockin' too, something that GT lacked but I hope it comes back. 

How is the Japanese music better than the Vegeta transformation music?

Well, I agree that goku voice sounds a bit weird.  But some characters like vegeta and frieza have a good voice.  Frieza in the english version sounds like a women.   About the music? sorry, but the american version is the only one with a different soundtrack.  The rest of the world watched DBZ as it was intended, with the real music.  I watched DBZ for the first time in latin spanish but it also had the original music.  When I watched DBZ in the american version, I was pissed off when they changed the music in gohan SSJ2 transformation.  The only music that it's better in the american version is when goku transform into SSJ3.  I admit that I was wrong, not everything in the japanese version is better but most of it still stand. 

I thing the problem is that I watched DBZ first with the original sound until cell saga because my country stop the program all of a sudden, then moved to the american version.  I have been a fan for 15 years already.  heck, I even own all DBZ episodes that support english/japanese version and I had always chosen the japanese version over the american version.  Maybe it's because the original soundtrack bring good memories as a teenager.
