Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Why Xenoblade Chronicles X will be released before September (in the west)

AFTER READING THE OP, which month do you think it'll be released?

June 15 10.34%

July 19 13.10%

August 58 40.00%

During or after september 53 36.55%

Total:145

That's assuming Nintendo releases their games when they are done.

Where are the options for after September? Without Zelda, I'm thinking Christmas.

"During or after September" is added in the poll. Lol

Xenoblade is done though. It's releasing in two days in Japan. Lol

I know. I'm just saying that I'm a bit worried about most of their 2015 games being set for release at the 2nd half of the year. They don't exactly have a habit of releasing their games in quick succession, if you know what I mean. I fear that they'll hold on to a couple of them until 2016 in order to make sure every title gets maximum exposure.

I meant games in this situation. It's on the Wii U, it is needed badly etc etc. However, you seem to disregard the fact localization has been in progress for 5 months minnimum.

But do you know at what level localization has been going on?  How many people? How many hours?  They could have done very little in those 5 months as they focused on the Japanese release of the game, but they could still say they had been working on it.  The fact they have been working on it for 5 months means very little without context of knowing to what extent and the amount of time it is supposed to take.  so that really doesn't mean anything to me...

The localizations of Nintendo games are done by NoE/NoA not Monolith Soft. So I don't see why there would be a focus on developement of the Japanese game. In the treehouse event it is evident that the translations have been under way. Thought and time was put into specialized terminology like "Dolls vs. Skells" so I think it is clear that the simple stuff (normal Japanese sentences and words) have also been worked on.

What we do know is that multiple people working on the localization have said, "later this year."

So far, they have Zelda and Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem for 2016 (in everywhere except Japan which gets SMT x FE in winter)

We will probably also get a Metroid and or Animal Crossing U for 2016. If they were to delay any, it would be a smaller title. NOT Xenoblade. I see SMT x FE as like a March release, Zelda as a May release, Animal Crossing U as a fall release and Metroid as their holiday release. I do not believe Xenoblade will get delayed. If any, it would most likely be Devil's Third or something.

But your claim is that it will release by September, and I want to show that I disagree.  Selecting that option makes it look like I could be agreeing with you.  You've got to have a good range in a poll so we can all give a clear answer.

I get what you're saying. I wouldn't be surprised actually if Nintendo announce a new game that will release before Christmas at E3. And I am hopeful that all the other games will release before year's end.

Nintendo seemed to have such a good line-up for the year ( they still do), but it's disappointing that most of them are releasing in the second half. Us Europeans have got one retail release from Nintendo so far this year; Captain Toad which technically released in December 2014 in some countries. So much for that one game a month- theory :)

Edit: Forgot about Mario Party 10, lol

i can assure you i have picked up plenty of nintendo games day 1 that have not released on Friday. most come out on sunday actually

June definitive not. Is the E3 month, and considering that will annunced much news, is too son...
July is possible but unlikely...
August seem a good month. I'm go with this.
September as well. But considering we have already a game for this month, i say August.
