"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

This guy is too big, most companies will try to get him. Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft (and probably SE) will try to hire him if he hsn't created an independent studio before. He will look for the freedom he didn't have with Konami and the budget for his proyects, my bet is with Sony or Nintendo.

Yeah, he will make his own studio. Not sure if he will have the budget to do whatever he wants though.... BUT, I also believe if he does, we are going to see a much more financially aware Kojima. (It's funny how spending your own money does that to people.

Even still, there will be a creative freedom he never had.

I can't even imagine the clashes he would have with Miyamoto. Lol

They could work on different proyects. I suppose if Kojima is hired by Nintendo, he will have the freedom to make his own IP before working on a Nintendo franchise, specially when Nintendo wants to win over the mature crowds, and Kojima is really liked in that demographic.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Lack of money can put a damper on creativity, though, especially in this day and age where even mobile games are being hit with rising costs. He certainly isn't going to be creating huge, cinematic games if he goes indie. But at least there won't be the pressure of meeting publisher milestones. He'll have to set those on his own, as you posted above.

Go and get a chicken sandwich. Maybe a beer....take some alone time to figure himself out and then roll around in a pile of salad with his pet rabbit, gonzo.

Your mom. Ooh! Burn!!

first he will direct new indiana jones movie, than he will work on a game for valve with a 3 in the title.

He always said he wanted to work on something else rather than MGS so i can see Konami forcing him over and over on the next MGS until Kojima said "fuck this!" and the whole thing went down, heck i remember him being very hyped after the announcement of the next Zone of the Enders and then Konami cancelled the game due to low sales of the HD collection which im sure didn't make him happy, so who knows maybe Silent Hills being cancelled wasn't a result of Kojima quitting but rather the reason why he decided to leave, maybe the project was cancelled before we all knew and that was the last straw for him and the reason why it all went down.

As for me, i just want to keep getting Kojimas games... i don't care if he goes exclusive with PS or if he goes multiplat as long as i can keep playing hes games its all GOOD.
