The fact that third parties don't sell very well on the Wii U (for many reasons), it most likely won't happen. Besides, Treyarch said that they're only working on the game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

"The fact that third parties don't sell very well on the Wii U"

This isn't a fact, it's outright false. also, check the nintendo network thing again.

Please tell me which third party games have sold well on the Wii U. I would like to hear some.

Just because that Nintendo Network thing is there does not necessarily mean that it will be coming to the Wii U.

The best selling are lego city, zombi U, bayonetta 2 and monster hunter. multiplats include rayman legends, sasrt, just dance, skylanders, all of which sold equal to or better than on other platforms with higher bases. other games like cod, assassin's creed and batman sold much less than on other platforms =/= selling bad, especially with the installed base at the time. right now, the wii u's installed base is over 2x what it was when the last cod/AC/batman released and should be much over 3x whn november starts. it makes complete sense to release black ops 3 on wii u.

Blops 2 was a Wii U launch title, probably many who wanted to play the game had done so on PS3/360. But people are still playing the Wii U version till this day, Ghosts was the alternative title the following year, ported by Treyarch but being a port it contained less polish compared to the BLOPS2 on Wii U. Hence it sold bad.

But i believe there are Wii U owners that want to play the game on U. So a Wii U version with Gamepad implementation could sell well. There are a lot more more Wii U consoles out there then in 2013. There are 4 million sold in North America , a good proportion of those owners would buy BLOPS3 on U.

Europe wise is a different story ,some would buy it ,but with poor Wii U sales in the UK , a COD stronghold, it won't make much difference .I don't know how COD sells in France /Germany or the rest of Europe ,of which the two other countries mentioned are more Wii U friendly countries.

But what's no good is a late release, it needs to releases the same time there about's while the hype is out.

Releasing 3-6 months down the line would be a waste of time , people move on to other games,

But i reckon they would sell 1 million on U there about's .

By the time it releases Wii U would be at around 11 mil sold.

I'm just saying if Treyarch is going to put the effort into porting to the Wii U then the smarter move would be to put a bit more effort into having it for PS3/360  as well since it has a much larger install base.  Pretty much its an "all or nothing" scenario.

It's basic knowledge this isn't true. it would take far more than "a bit more effort" to have ps360 ports. and that's even without considering thye have to move on from the 7th gen.

Well I don't think its a walk in the park to put it for Wii U either along with its gamepad feature as well so they're just going to stick with PS4/XB1 as they're more similar.

Everybody knows it makes more sense to have it on PS3/360 than to have it on Wii U if Activision wanted to expand the number of platforms.

So back to my original point "If it's not coming out for last gen then I don't see it coming out for Wii U."

what gamepad feature? I can't believe someone still tries to use this lame excuse. not only devs aren't forced to use the gamepad, we are talking about a yearly franchise that already got two releases on wii u. they can just import all controls they used before.

And I can't believe its hard for you to understand that it's more effective to have this game on PS3/360 than on Wii U.

Look at the sales of CoD Ghost and Advance Warfare for last gen consoles, and look at the sales for Wii U's last CoD game.  You think Activision would rather reject millions and millions of copies sold on PS3/360 to sell less than a million just on the Wii U?  You see how the last two CoD were on last gen and NOT on Wii U...do you see why??

Strategic wise, the Wii U would be the last home console for Activision to put CoD on AFTER the PS3/360.  Thus, goes back to my original point (or my second post,  the explaination of my original point).  I honestly don't see how you're not following this.  I'm just going to stop responding after this.

Fair enough. I hope Black Ops 3 gets a Wii U version, but I doubt that will happen.

let's see. it's counterproductive to port to ps360 because it's two extra versions that the audience would buy elsewhere due to gen shift.

sales for advanced warfare on ps360 had huge declines over ghosts, wich already declined. if bo3 were on ps360, those versions would only sell about 3-4 million combined. Sales that would go to 8th gen platforms if the versions didn't exist, making it a wasted effort. Meanwhile, the installed base of wii u is much higher than it was when the last cod release, it's only natural that it would sell much better than before. and unlike ps360 versions, those sales wouldn't go anywhere else.

Neither LEGO City nor Bayonetta 2 are third party.

I thought they were considering Platinum Games and TTA Fusion are third party developers.

Nintendo paid for the development of those titles and published them.

You can argue that they're not first-party games; but in no way are they third-party.

It will probably come to Wii U, but who cares? I don't think that people will play it on Wii U.
