PSVita is not gonna to sell 3,000,000 in the US. We all know this...

XB360 sold 1,700,000 in Japan.

 

Considering that the US is MUCH bigger than the Japan... do you think that PSVita in the US is a bigger flop than the XB360 in the Japan?

The sales aren't exactly over, and I imagine software wise it is fine relative speaking. Not really on the same level.

10% or so of total PSV sales comes from the US, less than 1% of total XB1 sales comes from Japan.

Generational drop is also bigger for the XB1, PSP in the US did like 14m-17 million if I recall correctly, from that to ~3m that Vita will likely make is better than falling from 1.6m to less than 100k that the XB1 is going to do.

Well... didn't XB360 tripled the first Xbox sales in Japan?
Looking at how Vita is far away from PSP's sales in the US, i think XB360 actually did very well even if it didn't have a fighting chance to begin with.

Hard to say, since handhelds usually sell more than consoles and that the Vita has not been discontinued yet...

Though 360 did quite well especially when compared to the original Xbox and XOne.

Well the thing is the XBOX brand has never done well in Japan. I mean sure they put effort into making the 360 popular and maybe it fell a little flat; but still if you look at the original Xbox sales in Japan the 360 was was more successful. If you compare PSP sales to Vita sales...... well it still has a few years to go but the Vita has not moved a comparable level of units.

I feel like this thread was made for some boasting. "Hey Vita is doing good compared to Xbox in Japan!"

Bottom line, Vita needs to do much better in the west for more support.
