Forums - Gaming Discussion - Please help me find the right gift.

I'm looking for a third awesome Steam game that I can put alongside Darkest Dungeon and This War of Mine as a gift to my brother. His birthday is today (I've waited for the last minute so that he'd get them when he wakes up) and I've a bit more money to spare than I expected.

His favorite games of all time are the Mass Effect trilog and the first Dragon Age. He's not big on puzzles, but loves strategy and RPG elements. He got majorly addicted to Football Manager despite not being all that big a soccer fan. He's a rather well rounded gamer but loves RTS, TBS, and RPG. I'm looking to give him three games because he can be rather finicky. Overtly Japanese styling is a major turn-off for him.

(He already has Divine Divinity, the other game with a nearly identical name, and XCOM.)

The Witcher/The Witcher 2?

He has The Witcher 2... He acknowledges its virtue but says it never clicked with him.

Torchlight 2?
Shadowrun Returns?
Legend of Grimrock 1/2?

Thats all I got for suggestions

I'm guessing he's played Skyrim eh? Because it's on sale for $5.50 right now. Maybe he'd like the Souls games? Maybe Civilization or a game of that nature? Maybe the Binding of Isaac (RPG Shooter)? At least you can research those names to see what you think I guess

#1 Amb-ass-ador

Maybe Deus Ex: Human Revolution would be a good pick. It is an RPG futuristic/shooter

Bar for The Binding of Isaac, which I fear may turn him off on aesthetics alone (oddly despite being very finicky on such things he loves FTL) he's already got those . Civilization and Skyrim are two games he adores; though I think he prefers Gal Civ to Civ and Fallout to The Elder Scrolls.

We both have and love that game.

Get him the Origins Humble Bundle. let him figure out what he likes and dislikes in that stash.

Just give him Shovel Knight. Everyone loves that game
