Forums - Microsoft Discussion - The Xbox One needs an official price cut for Europe.

Does the XB1 need a price cut?

Yes! 74 74.00%

No! 26 26.00%

Total:100

MS needs to come out with more exclusive games and better deals. That will probably improve their image more than a price drop.

That'd be pointeless. The only thing that might save the XBO in Europe is exclusive Fifa games for several years, but that's not gonna happen. XBO is already really cheap in most european countries, you can see incredible deals every day, but people just don't care.

Even if it was €199 the PS4 would still sell more.

Price is not the issue.

Besides, its already had plenty of price cuts in Europe with no effect.

The XBO needs a official pricedrop at 250$ in the US...

I don't think it will happen, not this year. Not with Halo. I expect good bundles and offers, but they can't replicate the stunt of last year.

Hmm.. No. I wouldn't buy one anyway. 400 Euro (or USD) seems to be the psychological threshold for a console. Anything below that doesn't make much difference. The Wii U is about 300€ and still it doesn't sell.

I know that will not happen.

That is the reason for why XBO will sell like crap until the holiday... if MS make a 300$ during the summer, XBO at least can sell "decently"... in the US...

It's not only about the price. I don't see any efforts from MS in many parts of Europe to sell XB1.

Why to buy XB1 if my country is not even officially supported?
Just compare the supported countries for PS4 and XB1
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/countries
https://www.playstation.com/country-selector/

Sony list is twice bigger. MS only support 22 out of approximately 50 countries in Europe. They don't even cover all 28 European Union members.
I both my X360 in 2007 and I'm XBL gold member from around 2008. It was not a problem back then that my country is out of official MS list. All you need to do was to select UK as a country of origin and whatever UK users are getting is yours also. Slowly things changed and now I'm really pissed off at MS. You want to buy a game - "Your region is not supported". You want to download free gold members games - "Your region is not supported". You want to pay to renew you gold account - "Your region is not supported". Sorry MS, but I just gave up. It's a struggle every time I need to give you money. I both PS3 2 years ago and although I still like 360 more my next console will be PS4. It's just much more easy to be a Sony customer in Europe.

How do you know Scalebound will be "amazing" when we don't know/see anything about the game ?
