Forums - Gaming Discussion - Killing Floor 2 Will Ban Racist, Sexist, and Other Abusive Players

One complaint on the gaming community for a while with the ability has been too much freedom in chatting with online strangers.   Do you all agree with this or no?

"This includes, but is not limited to, 'griefing', racist bigotry, sexism or any other forms of 'cyber bullying,'" the EULA reads. "We will also not tolerate anyone hosting servers for the game where such behaviors are continually or repeatedly allowed to take place.

"If we find you are a Cheater or Abusive, we will revoke your CD key and ban you from the KF2 servers and tell your mom! Your license will automatically terminate, without notice, and you will have no right to play KF2 or any KF2 Mods against other players or make any other use of KF2. End of story."

There's a thing called a mute button for those easily offended. Revoking the person's CD key except on bases of cheating is wrong though and I disagree with the choice.

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

I can already see false reporting from other people unless they actually see the chat beforehand. Another simple solution would be to play with people YOU KNOW that way you won't be hurt from the bullies online. This is a terrible choice and is going to end in a backlash. Pretty much Misbehave and I'm taking your 30 Dollars from you.

Yeah, they'll have to keep an eye out for people who'll try and abuse the system.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

You cant grief? Well I wont play this when someone I know has died then I guess...

Online gaming does need some what of filter. However I would take away their right to talk, not their right to play.

Assholes will be assholes. There's no way to stop it. People who do these things should be marked as such but not banned.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Soo many people are gonna abuse this :(

More pandering sigh

Well, it's already a pretty common practice to ban idiots who break the rules on message boards and other online communities, so I don't really see how this is a problem. I mean, technically, this sort of behavior on Xbox Live has been cause for ban for years. It's just not well-enforced.

Of course, I guess the gamer gaters and free speech warriors will take needless offense to this like this is some kind of new concept.

As for potential abuse, I doubt anyone is going to be outright banned based on one complaint from a single player. It's much more likely that it will take constant reporting from multiple players about a single person before that happens.

Really, unless you are a persistent ass online, you should be fine. And if you are, it's probably better for others to not have to deal with you.
