Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you buy games for a system that you don't own?

I sold my second PS3 which had HDMI issue. I have my PS3 games and I plan to buy it layer. But it hasn't stopped me buying games for it. I got puppeteer (which will arrive tomorrow) and also planning to get modnation racers (which I sold long ago).

For PC gamers did you get games knowing that your current rig can't run it at all?

Lets hear you story.

Yes, but only if I plan to buy the console shortly after it.

And my PC can run most games so I don't really have that problem. If it can't run it, I either ignore it or buy it for a console if it's a multiplat.

Nope. I'll just buy them when I get the system.

nope

Nope, I have the opposite problem, I have consoles that I don't have games for.

Yea. Bought Uncharted 1-3 and Metal Gear Solid - The Legacy Collection. A friend borrows me his PS3 occasionally.

Playing: F1 2016 (PC), Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (PS4)
Watching: Hajime no Ippo, Attack on Titan (4th time)
Upcoming purchases in October:
-TBD

Sometimes. Only if I plan to buy the console though...

Nope, never. Might as well wait until you got the console since the games will be cheaper then anyways.

Yeah, get a Wii with Xenoblade Chronicles and Fire Emblem: Path Of Radiance... Shouldnt cost you more than 300$.

I have bought a few games for the PS4 yet i don't own one but i do plan on getting it once a few more games come out. Mostly collector's edition/limited edition games though.
