It's obvious you shouldn't visit VGC to get actual and up-to-date numbers.
Even when it releases late numbers (like 3 weeks or 1 month-late), they're far from accurate.

Man, delays this gen suck, don't they? Not only did they not announce the delay, but they didn't even tell us a new release date.

^This. As a new member I thought I'd give this games collection thing a go and was puzzled when I couldn't add any of the wiiU or 3ds games I tried. I thoughts maybe I was doing it wrong.......

VGSales.wikia.com was one, but most of its articles are way outdated. You could try NeoGaf to get Media Create and NPD info, but in the end you would have to get the last sales data from the manufacturers and add the NPDs + MC  any EU data and extrapolate the RoW data. VGC always does this hard work for us, so it still is our best option.
