Aren't they selling Mii costumes for SSB4? If yes, shouldn't Sakurai shut up?

We are talking about one of the most complete fighting games ever done. 54 fighters is an epic number.

That would be MUGEN. (which is free, too) As it currently has 2307 fighters to choose from.

Mugen is not a game but piracy, they take the assets from other games like a lot of old 2D fighting games

So would it be one of the most complete fighters to come from a AAA developer.

Tobal 2 on ps1 had 200, king of fighters unlimited 2002 has over 60, dragonball z budokai tenkaichi 3 over 100
naruto ckash of ninja has over 60, street fighter 3: 3rd strike has 58, super street fighter iv arcade edition has 78, arcana heart 3 has 529 potential combinations of char + spirit god, tekken tag 2 has 59.

I could go on, but you get the point.

Only played this game, but a DBZ character doesn't take a lot of work compared to a SSB character. Thinking of a moveset is easy and the balancing is horrible.

Naruto will be the same I guess.

Quality is more important than quantity.

In which case arcade fighters take the obvious crown.

Too bad they make four remakes/remasters of the same game.

Isn't he charging for Lucas and Mewtwo?

"These days, the “DLC scam” has become quite the epidemic, charging customers extra money to complete what was essentially an unfinished product. I completely understand how aggravated players must feel. After all, a game should be 100% at the time of release, and I would be livid if it were split up and sold in pieces."

The game was complete at launch. Mewtwo and Lucas are 100% optional and were developed after the game was finished.

Lucas was my character from Brawl so not for me lol

Gundam Extreme Vs Full Boost is awesome, as is the arcade version of guilty gear.

And every company makes remakes/remasters, don't start that.

I was just taking a dig at Street Fighter. You have to admit that what they're doing is ridiculous.

Just like there's good dlc and bad dlc there's good remasters and bad remasters.

Anyway, I never said SSB4 was the most complete fighter, but it does offer a lot of content.

Sakurai`s right about the DLC shortly after release. It makes the game being released seem like an incomplete product and they`re trying to get more money out of the consumers, and it just looks terrible. Just look at the Goro pre-order bonus for MKX : /

Though he is also right about the reason for releasing DLC so soon after launch. It`s the best time to get more money from their game. The longer they wait, the higher the chance that audience moves on to the next game. So it makes sense for them to be doing it in a business sense, but for the consumer, it looks awful : / It may be DLC, but I like how Sakurai and some teams at Ninten are handling it. MK8 for example, excellent piece of DLC both the content and the price. Hopefully DLC doesn`t get worse than it is now.

Though I will say, there is good DLC, and there is bad.

Is that really the issue? I mean, they could have easily released Mewtwo months ago, so it is really the release time that changes whether it's a scam or not?

Isn't Splatoon and Yoshi launching with day one DLC that can only be unlocked by purchasing $10 amiibo's?

It's an obvious bonus to amiibo owners. that's definetely not dlc and, most importantly, isn't essential. the game remains complete at launch.

Bonus to amiibo owners = $10 DLC to non Amiibo owners. If not downloadable content its on disc content that is blocked from users until they throw cash on various toys which is even worse tbh.

It may not be essential content but its still a pretty gross model and is the exact mindset behind the exploitation of DLC. Something ready at launch being exclusive to those who have paid a premium.
