I feel that Nintendo randomly removes things....

It'd bee nice to have

Yeah, I had the same thought earlier when I booted it up again for the new DLC.

As for why it isn't implemented, I can't think of one good reason.

Doesn't really matter to me, but if anything I guess Nintendo removed it because of how random normal races are. I think this time around, they thought that it wouldn't matter.

bet: lost

Because they knew no one would notice it enough to make a thread about it until 11 months later.

Cause reasons

Completely useless honestly.

I understand why they would not bother to add it.

Huh.

I never even noticed the lack of a timer in Mario Kart 8, or pretty much every Mario Kart past Super Circuit on GBA.

Weird...

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I kinda wish they had it too :P

Probably because it's useless and takes up part of the screen. I guess they could of made an option so you can have it on or off, but to be honest it's no lost. It was cool seeing how much in front I was from other racers, but that was it. I can see why they didn't bother.
