It would be nice to see CoD messing up the flow of the Sony E3 conference instead of MS for a change. Maybe Sony will be smart enough to just show a montage with it in there.

This is the one point that actually makes the rumor viable this year.  Destiny was a massive success on PS4 and I think Activision has finally woken up to the fact that partnering with Sony will make them more money.

 

On a slightly off topic note: Has anyone noticed that even though everyone acts like COD is some XBOX brand it has always sold practically the same number of units on Playstation every iteration?

Let them have it please.

It makes sense given Destiny's sales numbers and I'm willing to be even if MS had marketing and exclusive content on One it would still sell better on PS4.

VG greatly overtracks sony ROW software. For the numbers where we have proof, COD sales greatly better on XBOX. We already learned about 6 months ago that ps4 software was already 5+ million overtracked.

Sure whatever you want to believe.  At the very least Xbox versions of COD are no where near dominating the Playstation versions, and that's actually sad considering how the 360 won NA by a 5:3 ratio (COD's most important market BY FAR).

PS I kind of would like to see how many ps4 fans start cheering pew pew pew games if sony does get the advertising though. That would make the 3 largest publishing deals all shooters for ps4.

1. It is... you can say it is not due 500k but the fact Sony is in the 20m side and MS in 10m shows the userbase is twice for the publishers/developers.

2. Not true... in 2008 (or other year I don't remember) it was on PS3.

3. Sony are not spening that much... to be fair less than MS for example (they always spend less)... the fact Publishers wants Sony makes the things easy.

 

OP. It is a rumor and I don't believe it. Megaton for sure if true.

PS. The only point in favor to this rumor is MS having Halo to advertise this year... so they didn't want to advertise CoD against their own franchise.

Doubt it. But if this was true, this would be VERY sad for Xbox.
